René Binder (born January 1, 1992 in Innsbruck) is an Austrian racing driver.

Binder began his racing career in karting 2002. He remained in karting until 2008.[1] Amongst others he finished third in the German Junior Kart Championship 2007 and became runner-up in the German Challenger Kart Championship 2008. 2009 he began his formula racing career. For the Team Abt Sportsline he competed in the ADAC Formel Masters. While his teammate Daniel Abt won the championship dominantly, Binder concluded the season on the seventh position with three podium finishes. 2010 Binder switched to the German Formula Three Championship, where he started for Motopark Academy. With a third place as his best result he finished the season on the twelfth position in the championship. 2011 Binder competes his second season in the German Formula Three Championship for Jo Zeller Racing.[2] In the second race he achieved a podium finish on the third place. After the first round he is on the fourth position in the championship.
His father Franz Binder was also a racing driver and won the Austrian Formula Three Championship 1987. His uncle Hans Binder started in Formula 1 1976 and 1977.[3]
